Big Ditty March 13th - April 25th
We just finished the framing for artist Shelley Spector's show at Gallery Joe.

Shelley Spector's work acts as a magnifying glass for the familiar. Her digital prints
and constructions of everyday objects are tributes to unsung heros and frozen moments.
Together the pieces create a time capsule of sort, its contents both real and imagined.
through this process Spector records and creates changes in time, meaning and
culture, providing a way to both unravel and redifine it.
Opening Reception Saturday March 13th 5-7pm
Gallery Joe 302 Arch St.

Public Service is the new exhibition of paper cutouts by Joe Boruchow. The self taught DC native, who has lived inPhiladelphia for the past 13 years, presents a healthy dose of social criticism with his new collection. All the cutouts were designed to be made into posters that have become a familiar sight on local telephone poles. The sometimes controversial images can be titillating (see Nude With Comics) or provocative (Canine Fecal Death Act) and are always striking in their stark black and white design. Seeing the scale and delicacy of the actual paper cutouts mounted on white satin at The Bean Cafe is a display of craftsmanship that keeps you looking while the satirical and narrative elements of Boruchow's work reveal themselves. Public Service is a preface to the release of his graphic novel, Stuffed Animals: A story in Paper Cutouts which was awarded the 2009 Xeric Grant for Graphic Fiction and is scheduled for release in February.

Artist's Reception, Margaux Kent
We recently had the pleasure of working with artist Margaux Kent and her amazing images.
Please join her at Stockbridge Fine Art Print on Friday Sept. 4 , 6-10 pm.for the opening of "Come Wander With Me" an exhibition of new photographs. From her recent travels to Iceland where she was married to her husband Walter, directly before his departure for Iraq. Kent has indulged in the morbid fantasy that his return may never come. Turning her camera on the hillside glaciers where her wedding took place,Kent explores her quixotic emotions within a harsh and sublime landscape. Illusory and romance, Kent's photographs reveal the timeless longing of a soldier's wife.http://www.theblackspotbooks.com/http://www.stockbridgefineartprint.com/Labels: Artist, Gallery Framing, Reception

David Kimelman photography art opening

We just finished framing the artwork of David Kimelman, who has an upcoming opening.
It was a pleasure working with David and his images, please check out his work.
An exhibition of photographs titled, Natural Order, will be on display from June, 5 - August 26 at Hudson Beach Glass Philadelphia, a gallery in Old City, Philadelphia.
Artist Statement:The photographs in the exhibition, Natural Order, are about the complex, tenuous, and often contradictory relationships people have with the natural world. They express our fear of elemental chaos, alienation from nature, and our attempts to protect ourselves and put ourselves above the natural order. However, these images also reveal our fascination with natural beauty and wildness, and our reverence for the immutable forces of our planet.
